It takes everyone
Cancer is, unfortunately, a repeating theme in my family. My grandfather and my father's third sister have passed away from cancer, and his second sister is currently battling lung cancer. The rural environment that my father and his family grew up in means that it's difficult for them to access quality healthcare to combat cancer, let alone having the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of the latest breakthroughs and research.
This is why I joined Relay – to keep the memories of my family to heart and to commemorate their struggles against the disease and to find a platform where I can contribute to the fight against it.
