Why do I Relay?
Cancer has affected too many people I love. My own brother is a survivor, and although I was just a baby when he was diagnosed, the stories my mom has shared about her experience as his caregiver have stayed with me my whole life. Growing up hearing about the strength, fear, and hope that defined that time has shaped who I am today.
I fight against cancer in remembrance of the struggle my family has been through, in gratitude for my brother’s continued remission, and in honor of those who fought alongside him but are no longer with us.
That’s why I’ve joined Relay For Life—to celebrate survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and stand beside everyone affected by cancer in our community.
