Our Mission
Retinoblastoma is a rare ocular cancer that affects babies and toddlers, typically under the age of five. Initial signs are often noticed in low-light conditions where the pupils dilate, and parents notice “the glow”. Other notable symptoms include eye pain, misaligned eyes, or vision problems. Many cases result in the removal of one or both eyes due to late diagnosis or difficulty guiding personalized treatment decisions.
Team Rainbow Butterflies, inspired by the abbreviation “RB” for retinoblastoma, aims to raise awareness to promote earlier detection by knowing “the glow”, improve access to care, and support advancements in research.
With your contribution, you can help fund critical research, enhance patient support services, and help end the battle against cancer.
